About the venue

Kigali Cultural Village sits in Rebero, on the site of the former CanalOlympia open-air venue. CanalOlympia stopped operating there in December 2025, and the Rwanda Development Board has been seeking a new operator, so check what is on before you plan an evening around it; the concierge can look for event tickets.

Irebero, in the Rebero Hills, and Ikaze, in Niboye, are each about ten minutes by car from the village. Urugwiro is about twenty minutes away and Amahoro about twenty-five. Rebero is quiet and green, and Irebero's rooftop lounge looks out over the city.
