Getting to Kigali from the Bahamas
The straight-line distance between Nassau and Kigali is about 11,850 km. Nassau changes its clocks: seven hours behind Kigali in January, six hours behind Kigali in July.
From the Bahamas, fly British Airways to London (LHR), then RwandAir non-stop to Kigali.
Departures from the Bahamas are possible from Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS), Grand Bahama International Airport (FPO) and San Salvador International Airport (ZSA).
Guests travelling from Freeport and Marsh Harbour get the same welcome: a pickup at any hour and the villa ready.
Entry for citizens of the Bahamas
As citizens of a member state of the African Union, the Commonwealth or La Francophonie, you receive a visa on arrival and the visa fee is waived for a visit of up to 30 days. The Bahamas is a member of the Commonwealth. The official source is Rwanda's Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration; apply online on Irembo if you need a visa before travelling.
Money and payment
At home you pay in the Bahamian dollar (BSD); in Kigali, the villa is quoted in US dollars and can be paid in USD, RWF, by mobile money or in common cryptocurrencies.
No payment details are published on this website: the concierge sends them once your dates are confirmed.
Cash is also accepted on arrival at the villa, in US dollars or Rwandan francs, with a written receipt from the concierge.
