Getting to Kigali from China
Kigali lies about 9,835 km from Beijing, in a straight line. Expect a time difference: Beijing is six hours ahead of Kigali.
From China, fly Qatar Airways via Doha (DOH) to Kigali. Another option: fly Turkish Airlines via Istanbul (IST).
Departures from China are possible from Capital (PEK), Daxing (PKX) and Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG).
Travellers from Shanghai, Chongqing and Chengdu can reach the concierge on WhatsApp before they fly.
Entry for citizens of China
Citizens of every country can get a visa on arrival at Kigali International Airport and at all land borders, or apply online before travelling. The visa fee does not exceed USD 50 for a single entry or USD 70 for multiple entries. The official source is Rwanda's Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration; apply online on Irembo if you need a visa before travelling.
Money and payment
At home you pay in the Chinese yuan (CNY); in Kigali, the villa is quoted in US dollars and can be paid in USD, RWF, by mobile money or in common cryptocurrencies.
Details are shared by the concierge alone, in writing, once the dates are confirmed.
UN DESA counts about 1,400 people from Rwanda living in China.
Cash is also accepted on arrival at the villa, in US dollars or Rwandan francs, with a written receipt from the concierge.
