Getting to Kigali from North Korea
The straight-line distance between Pyongyang and Kigali is about 10,636 km. The clock in Pyongyang is seven hours ahead of Kigali's.
From North Korea, most travellers connect through Doha (Qatar Airways), Cairo (EgyptAir) or Brussels (Brussels Airlines); your concierge plans the connection.
Pyongyang Sunan International Airport (FNJ) is the international airport of North Korea.
From Hamhŭng, Namp’o, Sunch’ŏn or anywhere else in North Korea, one message to the concierge starts the plan.
Entry for citizens of North Korea
Citizens of every country can get a visa on arrival at Kigali International Airport and at all land borders, or apply online before travelling. The visa fee does not exceed USD 50 for a single entry or USD 70 for multiple entries. Rules can change: check the official page of Rwanda's Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration before you travel; the online application is on Irembo.
Money and payment
Your home currency is the North Korean won (KPW); the stay is quoted in US dollars, and USD, RWF, MTN MoMo, Airtel Money and crypto are all accepted.
Once your dates are confirmed, the concierge sends the details; never pay to details found anywhere else.
Cash is also accepted on arrival at the villa, in US dollars or Rwandan francs, with a written receipt from the concierge.
