Getting to Kigali from Portugal
The straight-line distance between Lisbon and Kigali is about 6,043 km. The time difference changes with the seasons: in January Lisbon is two hours behind Kigali, in July one hour behind Kigali.
From Portugal, fly Turkish Airlines via Istanbul (IST) to Kigali.
Departures from Portugal are possible from Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS), Faro - Gago Coutinho International Airport (FAO) and Francisco de Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO).
Guests travelling from Porto, Braga and Amadora get the same welcome: a pickup at any hour and the villa ready.
Entry for citizens of Portugal
Citizens of every country can get a visa on arrival at Kigali International Airport and at all land borders, or apply online before travelling. The visa fee does not exceed USD 50 for a single entry or USD 70 for multiple entries. We link the official immigration page below; Irembo is where online applications are made.
Money and payment
At home you pay in the euro (EUR); in Kigali, the villa is quoted in US dollars and can be paid in USD, RWF, by mobile money or in common cryptocurrencies.
Details are shared by the concierge alone, in writing, once the dates are confirmed.
Cash is also accepted on arrival at the villa, in US dollars or Rwandan francs, with a written receipt from the concierge.
