Twelve is three generations of one family, two families travelling together or a whole team. It takes two villas, and not every pair is big enough: Amahoro and Urugwiro each pair with any other villa, Irebero pairs with Amahoro or Urugwiro, and with Ikaze it reaches eleven.

The pair that suits depends on the evenings. Amahoro or Urugwiro with Ikaze makes twelve places in six bedrooms, with a big house for the shared evenings and, at Ikaze, a very large garden, an outdoor playground and a high chair for the youngest. Amahoro with Urugwiro makes eight bedrooms and up to sixteen places, for a group that wants more room.

Good to know

Low-key celebrations are welcome at every villa, as long as the neighbourhood is not disturbed. Rates are in US dollars; you can pay in USD, in Rwandan francs, by mobile money or in crypto. Tell the concierge your dates, the number of guests and the occasion, and the villa is ready when you arrive.

The villas that go together

Here is how the villas compare.

Amahoro is Kibagabaga's villa of four suites, two living rooms, a pool and a cinema room. Amahoro sleeps up to eight. A house manager is on site, housekeeping is daily and security is on duty around the clock.

Urugwiro is a gated villa in Kacyiru with a duplex principal suite and a second lounge for a quieter corner. The principal suite is a duplex with its own lounge.

Irebero, Rebero's villa of wellness: a spa room free to use, a gym, a pool and a rooftop lounge over the city, sleeps up to seven guests in four bedrooms, three of them en-suite, plus a guest bathroom downstairs. After dark the wine bar becomes a private lounge for the group staying.

In this group: Ikaze, a villa in Niboye with a shaded patio, a lawn, an outdoor playground and a high chair. Ikaze sleeps four in two air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms, one with a king bed under a canopy and one with a double bed; a half bathroom is there for guests.

At least two villas are needed: the two largest sleep up to 16 guests together, and all four villas up to 27.
